Joel - GPS Tracks should be out this weekend (or so I'm told) and then I'll know where to tell you to meet us at...

The trials bikes were so quiet, no need to run electric in that class.

Hey Joel that part I believe holds the suspension down in a compressed position just for the start. It releases upon the first full compression in the race. If you look at the upper fork tube you can see the u-shaped detent where the pin from the button is placed.

Look at the picture you took of the bikes on the starting line with the front ends in a compressed state.

Cool pix Joel. Feels like I was there.

TM has been around a long time, great bikes. Just a little obscure around these parts. Great to see them and Webb on Beta for such an event, and GasGas too.

No Johnny Ringo eh? He's the 'enduro-cross coach' guy, should have been shadowing Cody. They are old trials buds.

Seems to me Jeff Aaron or Cody Webb (or both) were going to ride trials bikes to compete (former years) and since they had such a big advantage in the rough stuff they were banned. Now they have a trials bike class?

I was pit support for Ringo the first year in Vegas. I'll have to dig out some old pics. Unfortunately he crashed pretty bad in qualifying and f'd up his knee, then did poorly in the main because of it. He's an animal rider though, you have to be unstoppable to do any good in these events. He has since put in a practice course at his place in Apple Valley, does training up there. So I've heard, don't keep in touch any more.

Ringo actually got me back riding in '08 after my hiatus. My GasGas was sold in about '05-06, then went KTM when I got back in. Joined ADV in '09 and loving the adventure!
