Quick Rear Wheel Seal Q???

I've just replaced the bearings on my OE rear wheel, both bearings in fine and dandy, but which way round does the seal go on the disc side I know I should've paid more attention when I took the old one out, but it kinda fell apart as it came out anyway

Pics below

This is where the seal is going

But does the seal fit this way? (A)

Or this way? (B)

Appreciate a heads up

Cheers

"A" is the correct answer.

What do I win?

PS... I don't know if it is the angle the photo was taken in or what, but on the pic the cir-clip looks like it's not properly seated in the groove.

Yes, defo "A". I also changed the little bush/spacers on both wheels. Showed signs of wear and its this seal that keeps water and other crap out.

I would like to know why you say A is the correct installation direction.
I understand that is the way they are generally installed, however one normally puts the spring to the side that you want to keep things in (or in this case, keep water out). For instance, your main crank seal on your car is not oriented with the spring out. it is spring in to keep the oil in. kinda backwards on the bike wheels.

Depends on the seal inner lip design and the recommended method of fitting which is also dependant on the seal construction. I've changed more seals and bearings than I care to remember, on all types of equipment, keeping in/out all types of fluids and crap. I want to retire..........
