AFAM quality? Made where? best CS sprocket that will not chew up the shaft?

OEM only?
Or is some after market just as good and cheaper?
Non communist made sprocket and chains of top quality? for the f800GS.
Thank you.

They be made in a former Communist country. If you go this route, buy the higher priced version. I bought the lower cost 15 tooth and it has an as cast appearance and a very tight fit. Same source 17th higher cost sprocket, had a more finished look and fit like stock.

You can try JT Sprockets. High quality and not very expensive.

For the chain you can check Regina, RK, D.I.D

I'm running the 17T from TouraTech. Put it on at about 12k miles and it looked so good when I replaced the stock chain at 26k that I left it there. Haven't noticed any shaft damage.

I've got the 18T AFAM. the quality looks great but it was a bitch to get it on. And a lost cause trying to get it off without a puller. Way too snug.
