Good places to ride in north jersey

**LOOKING FOR** sorry I didn't realize title was unclear :(

I'm riding out of Jersey City (very dangerous considering the amount of assholes on the road) and am looking for some nice off road trails not to far away. My riding buddies are down in central jersey and to far to meet up with for a day trip. On my longer drives in the ambulance (I'm a FF/EMT) I'm constantly looking for spots to get off the road off of Rt 17 and Rt3. Does anyone know any trails in that area or possible a little farther away? I've found some short runs through the landfill areas of Rutherford but nothing that's challenging anymore. I consider myself a newer rider (compared to my buddy who taught me how to ride who I'm pretty sure was born on an enduro) but I find my riding skills improving greatly.
