Was that a bear towards the end?

Well, here ya are showing us how to get 'er done. Most of the way that is. Thought you were gonna make it! You made it a lot farther than I would have dared in the snow! Are those purpose built recreation trails from the past?

As always, excellent video!

Yeah it was a bear, thanks. Just regular dirt bike trails high up in elevation. I was hoping to make it but knew once I hit the north facing side of the hill it was over

Thanks, Admiral.

Went for a spin again to see if we could push up and over the ridge through the snow to make a big loop in the high country.

..we pushed through

Closing in on the top of the ridge

It snowed about three weeks ago, and on the southern facing slopes and ridgetops the snow had melted off. Made the ridge top at 6,200ft.

Dion pointing to the mountain bowl we were headed to

Mt Rainier in background

you can see the snow in the northern facing areas hanging in hard

The mountain top center is where we were headed

We set fresh tracks in the snow the whole day, never saw another bike

The bowl of the mountain from above

Mt Stuart in background, 9,604ft

Heading around back via more trail

Cool2 crazy!

i love the terrain you are taking on, never road a bike like this but must be a blast beyond belief. i ride a cruiser, vulcan 900. enjoy the riding for all of us out here. how on earth to you keep for not freezing. here in florida, not much of a concern :-) i've ridden a plain old road bike in 50 degrees but below that, it was way too insane with wind chill. how do you stay warm?

The work of just riding the bike usually keeps me plenty warm. I have heated grips too.

Well, that's it. Shows over. Snow is here for the winter... but I found a new way to get around the mountains until I can get back on two wheels...
