Some crashes look like they never learned to countersteer. They just drift wide with the bike nowhere near full lean angle.

The ones that drift off the pavement then panic and grab a big handful of brake and good-bye.

The photographers have repeatedly stated that their presence (and all the other onlookers) in no way encourages people to ride beyond their abilities and/or show off. So many people crashing in front of them is merely a coincidence.

How dare you show a rider excercising good throttle control in this thread.....for SHAME sir! FOR SHAME!

Unfortunately, here in good ole Merca, any knuckledouchewagon with an SSN can walk into a Yamadasukisakiatirillia dealer and get financing and walk out with a GSR6CBRRS. Not saying that making sure someone has at least basic skills before selling them a bike should be mandatory, but it might just help. And in no way am I saying that only supersport riders crash......but they seem to be the biggest offenders on that road.

It's just so dang refreshing watching someone ride that well on the street. You don't even have to *watch* it, you can just listen-- the smooth throttle, the smooth shifting, the hallmarks of someone who knows what they're doing. Brought tears of joy to my eyes.

Meanwhile, still to come in this thread: more vids of riders going nowhere near as fast chopping their throttles, slamming their brakes, and staring straight at what they're about to hit.

People have been regularly crashing on the Snake way before there were photographers or youtube.

and a r6 is not a beginning bike.
we had one student the came to our class after she dropped her $25k street glide leaving the dealers lot.
it was her first bike and the first time she rode it. she gave it too much gas and launched it out the drive way, accross the street and if there was not a fence to catch her she would have shot right onto south bound 101.
