Burnout, spinning the tire(s), a chirp, accelerating too hard, basically whatever BS thing the cop wants to call it to have an excuse to pull you over.

What's the world coming to when you get hassled by the cops for smoking up the tires at traffic lights etc. Agree, this is just BS.

unsafe start

I beat the rap.
Unsafe start charge. 93 / K1100RS - 3 yr ago
I requested the officer to explain, he said too fast.
I said I did NOT exceed the posted speed limit. Simply got there as quickly as possible. No burn out, no tire chirp, no front wheel lift. Simply using the MAXIMUM performance of the machine.
Clear day, minimal traffic, I was first in line, right lane of a 4 lane at a traffic light. And YES, I cleared the intersection, always look left & right even on the green.
He still said too fast, tell it to the judge.
I did!
Bye bye ticket.
Not sure if it helped, full gear and MC to court house as well as 8.5 X 11 pic of bike for judge, if he wanted. He did not seem interested. He only wanted to follow the ordinance and law.
I stated the same items. No wheel spin, no tire chirp, no wheel lift, no exceeding the speed limit. Just a clean hard perfectly balance launch to the speed limit.
Judge says go easy out there, and quit teasing the officers. Case dismissed.

Actually, I'm with the cops on this one - wheelspins in an uncontrolled environment can have some pretty catastrophic consequences and whilst you, or the OP, may be able to safely burn that rubber, many can't and you have to ask yourself - how's the copper meant to know the difference between capable and incapable? Do you guys carry a sign? I think not.

Plus they fucking stink.

Definition of 'irony' - "the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect".

Ahhh! Sorry mate, didn't see you were an antipodean, I'm not used to irony/sarcasm being used on this forum - at least not in its correct context :p

Actually I read elsewhere that the CHP car was responding to a different call and the bike was completely oblivious to the entire situation due to his headphones.
