One or two free days in Jakarta

I'll be in Jakarta for work August 8-17 and have the weekend of August 11-12 free. Is it possible / realistic to rent a bike for the weekend and explore outside the city a little? What affect will Ramadan have on traffic, shop and restaurant hours? Anyone want to show a foreigner around a little?

I've rented and rode in Japan and Australia but Jakarta is a little more imposing due to language and holidays.

Hi Tom,
You can borrow my bike if you want. all small cc though, and if you want to go out of town during weekend, i can show you around. If you want to go on bike, better to buy used bike here, and then sell it when you finish. You don't have to do paperwork, let someone who bought the bike from you to take care of it. (remember to buy and sold your bike on the same town to reduce license headache)
