Thanks again for the great thread, Gene and Neda. Best of luck dealing with your emergency in Croatia. I'm looking forward to reading about whatever is next for you two regardless of the continent.

Guys, thank you all so much for your well wishes.

Neda is going through a very tough time right now. She really appreciates all your words of encouragement.

Thanks again.

hi

Hey sorry to hear that you have to change plans and deal with an emergency. We had hoped to meet up in SA this fall. Well maybe we will finally meet in Europe next year!! We will ship from SA about march. Good luck.

It has been my experience that when the chips are down, ADVriders shine. You two are no different. It is a blessing that you have the flexibility in your lives currently to drop everything and head to Europe.

Sending positive thoughts your way from East Texas. I feel fortunate to have met you two, if only briefly. Christmas seems like a lifetime ago. You guys are aces in my book.

Kindest regards,
John Downs

Gene and Neda,
Thank YOU for all the joy and inspiration you have given so many of us by sharing your life on the road. I only wish I could be of more help finding transport for your bikes. Neda, know that your horde of readers are all pulling for you and your family.

Absolutely. Most of us have been through family emergencies and loss. It's never easy.

All part of the journey

Gene and Neda - another inadequate but heartfelt THANK-YOU to both of you for all you have given to us!
Many of us really do feel, in a vicarious way, that we are part of your journey. Know that we are with you both now. Strength for each day, rest for the night.

I'm still in Lima, finalizing the shipment of the bikes. They've passed Aduana (customs) and the boat is scheduled to leave July 4th. I'll work on getting the blog up to date in the meanwhile.

Neda just e-mailed me

Thank you all so much for the well wishes! I'm in Croatia now, and feel so much more positive about everything. At least now I can actually help out and support my mom and my family. I'm sure Gene is relieved too, now that he doesn't have a wreck of a wife beside him.

We're well on the way to be fully relocated to Croatia, and though the process was long, we actually had a good experience in the end.

There is really a sense of belonging to a community here on ADV, despite it being a virtual one. Your comments and interactions are embedded in our overall experience, and we take you all along wherever we go. So pack your bags and we'll see you in Europe!
