You have my heartfelt condolences, Neda. I lost my mom to a combo of cancer and Wegener's Granulomatosis back in 2006. It takes a while for the ache to go away.

Hugs to you, my dear.

Wow horrible news, sorry for your loss. I have never gotten over mine passing.
Some regard private enterprise as if it were a predatory tiger to be shot. Others look upon it as a cow that they can milk. Only a handful see it for what it really is - the strong horse that pulls the whole cart. - Winston Churchill

There is a candle burning in Texas for you and your family.

So very sorry. I pray for peace and comfort in this time of deep sadness.
Some of it's magic, some of it's tragic, but I've had a good life all the way.

My deepest condolences to you both.

Very glad you and Neda could be with her during her last days - not at the other side of the world.

Neda, Gene,
my heartfelt condolences to you and and your family at such a difficult time.

The loss of family is always the hardest, but knowing that your mom is in a better place, and knowing that another angel will always be watching over you.

We have never met and probably never will, but this trip report is so well done I started to think of you as good friends that I have yet to meet.

So that makes the loss of Neda's mom personal. So sorry for your loss, and I hope that time will ease the pain.

A Tale of Two Continents

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven.....

My sincere sympathy for your loss.
