A recent technical paper by a food scientist who works for Hormel reported discovering a recurring visual pattern in sausage meat. This pattern remains constant irrespective of magnification. He calls it mandelbrotwurst.

Mandelbrot actually passed away a couple of years ago. Thank god he wasn't murdered though, it would have taken police forever to draw the chalk outline...
