simple accessory adapter
I came up with this simple solution to mount a cigarette lighter accessory plug.
I purchased a battery Tender female cig. adapter and terminal harness. Both available from Amazon for $10.50. Then a got a grey plastic fitting from the electrical dept at home depot for .30. I painted the piece black with Krylon Fusion. This stuff is the bomb for plastic. Using the existing windshield screw I was able to firmly mount the adapter in a convenient place. It's also easy to remount when I change to the tall windscreen. In addition I can quick release the lighter plug and hook in the trickle charger using the same harness. Meritlane, excellent idea!
![]() I owe you one or two! ![]() What I like about that is how the wire won't be constantly moving back as it would on the steering head. Very cool, thanks. |
