I like the idea of everyone on the same property.

Maybe I can convince myself to take some surveillance photos on the way to Vermont.

Wow, Thorn Spring Park looks really cool. I'll be over that way sometime in the next month or two, will have to take a look.

Thorn Spring Park

I spent the night there on my way up to Vermont. There is a great area for camping with soft grass in the front as well as campsites in a wooded area.

The pavillion is in decent shape, but not really big. Tent camping was $4 or I could have stayed in a cabin for $6. I chose the tent/pavillion.

It looks to me like the place is falling into disrepair. The cabins are actually bunkhouses like you would have at a 4H camp (which this is). Concrete floors, iron rail bunks and minimal facilities.

The dining hall was big and use of the kitchen comes with rental of the park. I couldn't get inside.

There's only one bathroom for tent campers. It smelled bad and was not particularly clean or bug-free.

The cost for a three day event is $1000 if we want the place to ourselves. Scheduling might be a problem during June due to regular events they have had going on for years.

The only cell service in the area is AT&T.

There are some awesome backroads in the area.

No problem, I saw a tree and I won't be eating the bugs.
