I'm camping Thursday nite. Hopefully just a couple hours from the center. Want to try to rendezvous?

I am, if they let us. I emailed a request but haven't heard yet. Will try calling tomorrow.

I'd like to know as well, but would also be up for something an hour or two out (North).

I've been at the center. Boooooring! Plus I think we will be there the first night anyway. Let's keep it fresh by not doing 2 nights in a scenery-less field.

Nice looking bike halfplate! I am getting psyched. Putting on the new rear TKC tonight or tomorrow night and then I will be ready. May do a valve adjust and TB synch as I am getting close to that time. Might as well get her running as smooooooth as possible. Need all the help I can get.

Edit: got the tire on and the old girl is ready to go.

Hmm, Nice color choices! I guess you can find me by looking for the Neon Arai. This photo was taken on Sunday testing the gaffer tape placement

Im going to camp thursday night in either Mile High Campground or Round Mountain Cambground. Both are less than 3 hours from Greer. Leaving at 8:30 AM gives plenty of time to get there for festivities.

If anyone want a pre event event and you have a preference over which site, please lee know.

Theres a place called Paris Mtn Campground that's pretty close. Would anyone be interested in that one?

I'm gonna be hobbled before I even get to compete - don't think my TKC's are gonna be here in time so I'll be running some Tourances down and throw my old 80's on down there.

If thats the mile high campground near Maggie Valley off the BRP, its a great area. I stay a couple miles further down the same road at a national park campground. Should be nice and cool and great views. BTW, don't be surprised if you see Elk walkint through the campground. They reintroduced them in the next valley over, Cataloochie Valley, and I have come out of my tent in the morning to be surrounded by 4 or 5 elk.

Aren't these about 2 hours and 100 miles away from the registration?

My Iphone app says 2 hrs and 30 minutes. I talked to the BMW guys today and Registration is from 12 - 1 with nothing happening until after that. If I/we are rolling at 8:30AM or even as late as 9:30 all is good.

That being said, I'm not a hyper introvert and would rather not camp by myself. If dudes want to do Paris mountain, which is close and very civilized, then I'll try to roll in early evening.

Camping is always more fun in numbers! Yeah...it doesn't matter to me. I just thought it might be cool to sleep in Friday morning and not have another 2 hours to ride.
