Then returned to our "honeymoon suite" on top of the hill.

Stellar pics and writing Dave! A mate of mine sent me the link for your R/R, funnily enough we are both in Phx and are planning to do this ride next summer. Thanks for the guidance in packing, we were just talking about it at Rula Bula over a few pints o Guinness. Guess I'll put the kitchen sink back where it belongs.

No kitchen sink required. We probably took more crap than some, but most single riders we saw had 2-3 times more stuff hanging everywhere. I dis-liked having to use the top box and really hated having to strap the tent on top. I have another packing tip coming up. Stay tuned. Thanks, Mark!

Our time in Alaska has run out. The day off already put us a full day behind. We must start heading home.
With the major goals of the trip accomplished, we could just head straight home, but that might get boring.
Don't worry, I have a scenic route planned for the return leg. There's much more to come.!
In fact, I took my favorite photograph of the trip on the last day.

So we ride back on the Richardson Highway to the Tok Cut-off.

It's a beautiful day, but we must leave Alaska.

We get lunch at Fast Eddy's in Tok. I wanted to stay in Alaska,

but Helen obviously wanted to be in Hawaii.
