Hey what's the campfire situation? Since this is on private property, will there be any? If so, I can bring firewood.. been working a deal with a guy locally. I can get a cord for about $150-175 or so.

I've got plenty of firewood...
...what we need is rain.
In therory, October is generally well out of the fire-ban season.
This year looks different, so far....

We have a yellow light,
that I can wiggle up and down,
then we can all get really high and sit around it and sing kumbaya
...It'll be just like the real thing, I promise

Not if you're out of the city limits, there is no full county burn ban, and you abide recreational fire guidelines.

We are in the city limits.....of Parkdale. Burn ban still in effect. Even all the dispersed camp sites in the area have "no campfire" signs posted. We're hoping for a little rain between now and then, then we'll be good to go.

Admit it. It felt good.

I didn't experience the rain today. I was slumming at Skamania Lodge. This is what it looked like at commuting time this morning.

Ok, new tires are on, chain and sprockets replaced, clutch adjusted and tested, wheel bearings, well that leads to a long ongoing story.
The R/H rear bearing had spun in the hub, put it in with loctite and staked, did not hold. Took it apart and put in an aluminum beer can shim, did not hold. I am now down to beer can shim and JB Weld...... I just put it back together tonight, so I will see if it holds tomorrow. If it does not, I am at the mercy of the Yamaha parts Gods..........(parts were ordered today for a rear wheel rebuild)
Please pray to the parts Gods for me............

Ah. Parkdale has a full burn ban.

Researching our fire question over in Sandy (not in city limits) over Labor Day was interesting. There are burn bans, and there are burn bans. Turns out, a recreational fire is not generally covered under a generla burn ban. I made calls, sent emails, etc. to a couple of FD's, and heard back from exactly zero of them. Found something from CFD#1 I could use in my defense if a problem arose, and lit the bitch up.
