For you Kelly For hanging in there in that Porcupine Rim Trail.
For both You and Matt.. Holy Crap what an awesome job of riding and muscling that beast through there. I need to go ride that. I'll probably a lot and break things but OH WELL.

Great ride report as usual

Wow!

I had strong suspicion you two were absolutely insane, but the last video just confirmed it for me. You two are great riders!

It's a baby squirrel!

Can you see him? So cute. I still love me some squirrels.

Yeah, I love mine on the 990 but it don't help a bit with the arm pump and fatigue I get reading your reports and watching the videos!

Two up? I don't ride that fast or well (hmmmm....maybe theres a relationship there....) by myself!

I find it allows me to have a slightly looser grip on the bars, this helps with arm pump and fatigue at the end of the day.

OK. Sometimes he does seem like the Devil Himself...
Now I'm going to have nightmares.
Stupid ride report!

Oh, I don't bail. Ever.
As I mentioned in the Death Valley RR, if I ejected every time I thought we were going to crash,
I'd be jumping off all over the place!

And that was a nice short section of mud.
When we were on the CDT, we had miles of mud.

Even more nightmares!

I knew someone else would have a photo of that thing!
Also - what's the call?
shave ice - does it count as an ice cream pic?

Great. I give you the voice of reason and now he's already broken.

Poor Lippincott Coney!
I hope he's okay.
Matt says that the top of the mountain is the best place to be, but I'm still worried...

SOMEBODY BETTER GO CHECK ON HIM!!

Hmmm... I thought you meant the Lost in Onion Creek/Land of the Lost video ,
but you must mean the Porcupine Rim Trail?
Thanks!

(actually, I really thought you meant the one with the Ukelele guys, but that one isn't ours )

My copy of the Joy of Cooking has recipes for squirrel and porcupine and raccoon...

Um. Don't get mad at me, acesandeights.
I don't want you to come visit us in your truck again...

EVEN MORE nightmares!

haha, I had to read that twice before I got it!

Whew, now I'm too tired to do the ride report.

Day 15: 7/6/12 continued
Moab, UT to Cedar Mountain, UT 233 miles

Looks like we’re in UTBDR section 3 now...
Okay, I was looking at the video and I had no recollection of any bridge.
Here it is - good thing I try and snap photos of everything...
(this should be sandwiched between those 2 slab photos)

The historic Dewey Bridge.
Apparently some kid burned it down in 2008.

OK - back in the shack...

Here’s lunch - another mushy, melty Cliff bar

Some moist sand...

This looks like something that would be in a ride report...

This looks like the Nevada TAT...

Guess we’re heading to Thompson Springs...

Woo hoo! here comes a train!

More

I wasted a bunch of time making a video, but it’s too boring to use.
you can watch the riveting 28 seconds if you really want to...
for the train nerds.

I’m not sure why I took this photo, but here it is...

We were looking for the ghost town of Sega.
Oh, sorry. Sego. Some actual info here.

Here it is! There wasn’t a lot to see...
I think this was the general store?

I thought this was also part of Sego, but from that link above, it looks like this is at Boot Hill (the cemetery)?

We stopped at the petroglyphs

Signed the book.

We didn’t have enough fuel to make it to Green River, so we drove into Thompson Springs.
It was kind of a ghost town itself, but with a gas station.

Lots of pronghorn were just walking around and hanging out near the tracks.

View from the gas station

This was a long day of riding, I still have 25+ photos to foist on you...
Shoot, I ran out of time...I think we’ll finish up tomorrow.
It’s still a holiday weekend! Go do something fun!

Look at that face and the way he's holding that thing up, no question that counts.

Just like the Freeze Dried Ice Cream Sandwich, sometimes it's a combination of the intent, location, and attitude,
