Wow!
I had strong suspicion you two were absolutely insane, but the last video just confirmed it for me. You two are great riders!

Yeah, I love mine on the 990 but it don't help a bit with the arm pump and fatigue I get reading your reports and watching the videos!
![]() Two up? I don't ride that fast or well (hmmmm....maybe theres a relationship there....) by myself! S Quote:

Hmmm. His head does turn all the way around sometimes... (ooh, that scene is too scary.) OK. Sometimes he does seem like the Devil Himself... Now I'm going to have nightmares. ![]() Stupid ride report! More nightmares! ![]() Quote:
haha, hold on and stay loose! not easy to do both. ![]() Oh, I don't bail. Ever. As I mentioned in the Death Valley RR, if I ejected every time I thought we were going to crash, I'd be jumping off all over the place! And that was a nice short section of mud. When we were on the CDT, we had miles of mud. ![]() ![]() Even more nightmares! Quote:
Also - what's the call? shave ice - does it count as an ice cream pic? ![]() Quote:

![]() I hope he's okay. Matt says that the top of the mountain is the best place to be, but I'm still worried... SOMEBODY BETTER GO CHECK ON HIM!! ![]() ![]() Quote:
Hmmm... I thought you meant the Lost in Onion Creek/Land of the Lost video ,but you must mean the Porcupine Rim Trail? Thanks! (actually, I really thought you meant the one with the Ukelele guys, but that one isn't ours )Quote:
![]() My copy of the Joy of Cooking has recipes for squirrel and porcupine and raccoon... Um. Don't get mad at me, acesandeights. I don't want you to come visit us in your truck again... EVEN MORE nightmares! ![]() Quote:
haha, I had to read that twice before I got it! ![]() Whew, now I'm too tired to do the ride report. ![]() Day 15: 7/6/12 continued Moab, UT to Cedar Mountain, UT 233 miles Looks like we’re in UTBDR section 3 now... Okay, I was looking at the video and I had no recollection of any bridge. Here it is - good thing I try and snap photos of everything... (this should be sandwiched between those 2 slab photos) ![]() The historic Dewey Bridge. Apparently some kid burned it down in 2008. ![]() OK - back in the shack... ![]() ![]() Here’s lunch - another mushy, melty Cliff bar ![]() ![]() Some moist sand... ![]() ![]() This looks like something that would be in a ride report... ![]() This looks like the Nevada TAT... ![]() Guess we’re heading to Thompson Springs... ![]() ![]() ![]() Woo hoo! here comes a train! ![]() More ![]() I wasted a bunch of time making a video, but it’s too boring to use. you can watch the riveting 28 seconds if you really want to... for the train nerds. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I’m not sure why I took this photo, but here it is... ![]() We were looking for the ghost town of Sega. Oh, sorry. Sego. Some actual info here. ![]() Here it is! There wasn’t a lot to see... I think this was the general store? ![]() I thought this was also part of Sego, but from that link above, it looks like this is at Boot Hill (the cemetery)? ![]() We stopped at the petroglyphs ![]() ![]() Signed the book. ![]() We didn’t have enough fuel to make it to Green River, so we drove into Thompson Springs. It was kind of a ghost town itself, but with a gas station. ![]() Lots of pronghorn were just walking around and hanging out near the tracks. ![]() View from the gas station ![]() This was a long day of riding, I still have 25+ photos to foist on you... Shoot, I ran out of time...I think we’ll finish up tomorrow. It’s still a holiday weekend! Go do something fun! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
