My friends say I aim for them now.

When I bought mine I had been to two dealers. The one I bought from, we had agreed upon a price over the phone. I go down to sign the papers and the salesman wanted more $. WTF? I wound up discussing it with the sales manager.
She wasn't going to honor what the salesman had told me over the phone...until I got up and walked out the door. Then she came outside as I was getting in my vehicle and said they would sell it for that price.

If you have second thoughts about your agreed to price, and try to renege on your verbal agreement, then you have NO business in sales...

That dealership closed down about six months later.

Apparently you thought that a Yamaha store was the BMW wankfest?.

You know...the places where you always need to worry about fluids oozing out of the final drive,instead of staying in place?.

Next time, look for a shop with a lot of these hanging about...

If you think Yamaha final drives don't fail you are either ignorant or delusional. I have seen more failed Yamaha F/D's than I have BMW's

I've never seen one that failed w/o some sort of neglect/abuse.

However, I may have missed a few: unlike some people, I haven't seen them all.

Right, statistics please. I've heard of one FJR FD failure in the last 7 years. But if I'm also "ignorant", I may not have enough comprehension to process the info.

Yeah, I am afraid every time I get on my 1989 PC800 that the final drive will let me down.


But I am sure someone has seen more Honda final drive failures than they have BMW failures.

Hey, there's a real clean, low mile PC just up the road from me that is for sale in the flea market if you know anyone looking for one. It ain't cheap but it looks brand new!

I knew what I wanted, knew what it would cost, had the cash in the bank to pay for it. So I go down to the nearest Dodge dealer, walk into the dealership, find a salesman who is holding up the water fountain he's leaning against and tell him I am here to buy a truck in fact I want the Garnet Red one sitting in the front row of the lot. This guy looks at me, and tells me in a voice load enough to be heard by a few other folks nearby that "You can't afford that truck and I am not going to waste any time talking to you." No problem I say, could I have one of your cards please. He hands me a card, laughs and walks away.

I had sorta the same deal a few years back, wanted to upgrade snowmobiles found a dealer that had a 2 year old leftover sled i wanted to went there talked with the owner who was to busy to give me full attention, and or seem to want my business. The funny thing was i walked in with 7 grand in my pocket just burning a hole but he wanted full retail for a 2 year old left over, so i left with the money and the next year yep still sitting on that sled.
By the way nice truck.
