Maritimers labor weekend ride through NB

So you've wanted some fresh air? Drink some beer? Ride in the wilderness of NB? Well here's your chance.

We'll have two teams of riders from NB who'll be riding from two locations: St-Stephen NB, and Aulac NB, and headed for the center of the province (google earth will show there's nothing but trees and lakes) for a three day (two night ride).

purpose #1 : Good times!

purpose #2 : Meet like minded riders!

purpose #3 : Ride!

Zaner32 and company:

Day 1 (Sept 1st)

-Will be departing from "The Irving Big Stop" in Aulac NB at 10 O'clock Saturday morning and guide a bunch from NS to Dieppe where we'll meet another bunch at the "Shell/Tim Horton's" at the intersection of Hwy#15, and Dieppe Blvd.

We will be making time using pavement up to Rogersville for lunch at a restaurant. From Rogersville there will be dirt up to Blackville, then some pavement to Renous and along the Renous highway to McGraw Brook. Then it's dirt to Serpentine.

1st night will be in serpentine. Lodging is pretty cheap (I think it's $30-40 if you also eat there). Food is good. Bring a sleeping bag and pillow even if you sleep in the lodge. This is not a Holiday Inn. It's a camp in the woods. There's gas.

Day 2 (Sept 2nd)

-Departing Serpentine at 10 O'clock sharp to head to Chalets Restigouche in Kedgwick.

Route:
Head north to Popple Depot, and north west to Glencoe then on the railbed to Kedgwick. There might be a section of powerline, which could be a bit technical, but i'm pretty sure there's an easy bypass.

Accomodations will be around $50 each. You pay me for Chalets Restigouche as i've reserved the lodge on my CC.

Restaurant on site.

Day 3 (Sept 3rd)

Zaner and company:

Making their way back to Moncton using dirt roads to the Miramichi area, the zip down pavement to Monkeytown, and escort the NS crew to Aulac or Amherst.

The prelim plan is to ride from Dalhousie on Saturday morning, stay at the lodge, end up back in Dalhousie on Sunday evening.
