For the little roads and, especially, single tracks, did you have them on paper or GPS maps?
And which maps were they?

Super great pics and super great story telling. Love the reports from that part of the world. I agree with your idea of the right bike for the right job, when possible. LOL! Spent 8 years and 100,000 miles on the might BMW GS 11**. Pave, Gravel, little mud. Also spent time on the DR350 on Gravel, pave and mud. Much more fun on gravel and mud than the GS was. But, sucked on the road trips. For what I do now and at my age, love my present stable. ;-) Thanks for all the work and time to bring us along with you guys .

This single track adventure is the way to do Mongolia. What a story. Would like to do it this way once. Thanks for the report.

-We quickly came into a town hoping for gas.
-The next town; no power = no gas.
-We decided we couldn't leave this town without any.
Which town? Very sorry you did not provide more town and village names. The whole time reading I was wondering where you were driving.

And did I miss the gpx tracks? Would like to download them.
