Since the NC ABC tag is along the southern coast and headed up to a northeastern county next' this tag needed to be bumped back onto the radar map.

Yep! I had a 3 day weekend, sold my ZR-7 and found several strands of wire broken on my Wee's clutch cable. No riding for me all weekend and as busy as my schedule looks I won't be able to ride after a long distance tag until mid May.

Damnit, I was close to grabbing it and run out of mojo. Monday night, because I couldn't sleep, I went and grabbed the Triangle tag at 12-1am. I figured I wasn't tired and looked at the duration to this tag, hmmm 2 hours. It is 1am, I can go grab this and be in bed by 5am for 2 hours of sleep prior to work.

I had 3/4 tank of gas and went for it. Just outside of Farmville, my low fuel started blinking. It's 2am +/- and I see no gas stations. I decide to pull over and search for fuel via google. 1st option, Coopers, 3 miles north. Crap, it's a bait shop with old school pumps. I search again, Hess station, 10 miles South. I pass 2 other old school gas stations. Finally Hess, cool, credit card pumps but no overhead lights. No luck, swipe card and "see cashier" at appears at pumps. Crap, I am now getting worried. I search again and find a Sheetz in Greenville, 12 miles away. Finally, credit card pumps that want business.

So, it's getting late, maybe 3am. I look again at the tag, 50 mins away. Go for it, with full tank of gas. I leave Greenville and hit the worst fog. I am driving maybe 35mph on this wide open highway. I can't see at all. I finally hit road construction and a damn detour. Ahhh, kinda loosing my Mojo. I have to work at 7am.

So, I called it quits. I fought the fog home and finally arrived at 5:30am. Man, I was tired.

Damnit, I wanted this tag. Just not on a work night.

It was fun though.

Thumbs down On the road again, NOT

Would love to make a run for it BUT working 6 days a week kind or kills the urge.

Well it's 3 1/2 hours away from me and I'm working 7 day weeks this entire month. Not a chance on me running for it.

Just looked it up. Since I'm going to the southern coast now in my free time I'm much less likely to take a ride out that way too. Looks like a cool tag though. I imagine it won't sit too much longer.

46 miles out. It didn't look this far on the map.
