Status update

Hey there,

short update: so far we have 7 testers from UK, US, Belgium, Netherland and Canada.
What about Australia, South Africa, South Europe? 3 places are stil available!

What next:
- testers will get the tanks in the end of June
- than should come comments and lot of pictures
- if there are not signicant changes needed, than the tank will be available for sale in the end of Sept.

(sorry it cant be earlier as I plan to go for test ride too in Aug-Sep starting in Almaty (Kazach) via. Kyrgys, Tadjik, Uzbek, Turkmen, Kavkaz and home to Czech - if anyone wants to join, let me know - seriously)

Currently i am working on "steel cover/skin" (only 1,2mm thick) to protect the bottom of the tank from abrasion and heat.

stay tunned :-)

I've been following your work with much interest. I need one of your tanks! Was going to wait for the finished product, but I'll put up my hand to give you someone from Australia.

The first stainless tanks were nice but you've done a great job developing this idea. I'm impressed with your effort and look forward to getting one when your production tanks are ready.

Nice work.

I am happy you are interested in testing. I dont want to be bureaucratic, who is serious abut the testing, pls. send me following to my email:

radegarage@gmail.com

- name & Nick
- where are you from
- type of rider you are and where would you test the tank
- 1-2 pix. of your KTM :-)
- confirmation you are willing to send me/post feedback on:
a/ the quality of the tank and equipment
b/ usability
c/ pictures

it seems for testers the price will be 199EUR incl. the shippment...

Criteria for selection: I want testers from all continents, more hot is better, longer adv. trips or ralles have more points:-)

Thx. Rade
Sent you an email. I forgot to mention that I will take a bunch of pics and provide feedback for you. I live in Phoenix and my bike gets parked outside in the sun. You want hot, I got it here.

For the underside(and maybe sides also) of the tank I thought about using a peel and stick type thermal insulation. It's rated to handle heat and will help keep the fuel cooler from radiant heat of the cans.

Like this stuff http://www.ebay.com/itm/21-x24-Sheet...-/320826886701

Yep, same stuff that's on the inside of the rear panels. Only issue will be cutting it around the sub frame, but that's minor. Should help a lot actually.

Hey there,

sorry, but I have got stucked on trifles:

- the tank bottom cover will be in the end from composites (the mould for metal cover is too expencive for small production)
- the very last thing is experimenting with air venting... I am trying to find the "rubber seal"with inner whole diameter 3mm and suitable for wall width 8mm (meaning the tank wall)

What you see on the pix is only for 4mm wall width and as I dont know how to call it in english, I cannot search worldwide:-(

Anyway, in meanwhile I will use different soluttion for airventing and will send the tanks to testers next week. Here you can see full kit the testers will get:

tank, cover, T-fitting, petcock, heat shield sticker, tubes and mounting HW...

Many thanks to testers and their thoughts I am already getting! Hopefully in a month you will hear practical experiences directly from them.

cheers Rade

Freaking SAWEET! I'm even going to be on days off for a month or two. Should be able to get a detailed install write-up done and some riding with it installed! Awesome!
