Sargent for 1150GSA

Ive got a 2004 1150GSA and have been thinking of upgrading the seat. Im 6 feet and like to move forward and back on the seat. I just looking for some feedback from others that have put the Sargent seat on the 1150 GSA.

Thanks!

I have one and like it a lot. Be aware even the standard height lowers the effective seat height approx 1" below the factory seat. Easy to move all the way forward to the tank and all the way back, to the passenger area. Nice textured pseudo-weave surface but not too grippy. I am 5'10" 32" inseam and feel like I'd rather have that inch back or get some lowering pegs. However it is a great seat, true all day comfort, without any of the weirdness from being too wide or too soft like some seats.

edit: oh yeah, vastly better than stock seat.

The Sargent standard seat is about an inch lower then the standard BMW seat and about an inch higher than their low seat. It is wider than the low seat which I have but much more comfortable. At 6ft height won't be an issue. I really enjoy mine much better than standard.

Mine is on my 04 GSA with 80000 km. Good buy I reckon.

If it's the "atomic foam" version it gets really soft in the heat.

I have to put a ATV seat pad on mine during the summer to
rid myself of the sitting on the seat pan feeling.

During the winter, it's a great seat.

YMMV

You know you are right about that foam. It can be a bit squishy. I did not know they had other versions. Got mine used here from an inmate.

If you move back and forth a lot then I'd stick with stock seat as Sargent a little wider with a minor step up toward the passenger area.

I like mine, had a Corbin 1150GSA seat before and it was too low, heavier and too firm

I have an '04 GSA with the Sargent and I really like it!! I'm 6'2" with 34 inseam. I would highly recommend the seat. Plus they have a 30 day return policy.

+1 on the Sargent, added it to my 02 GSA last year, very happy with it. I'm 6'1 with 32 inch inseam, have a heated Corbin and a stock low seat, both too low for me.
