Well, I just signed up for the 2-day. Not so sure how wise a move it is with a Tiger 800 on knobbies, but there's only one way to find out!
Should be a fun beginning to a 1200 mile week long trip!
I have no plans to do the "hero" sections, just the basic "C" route. I have a decent amount of off-road experience with the Tiger and quite a bit more with the KTM 300. Hopefully I can keep the tigger in one piece!

If you are used to off roading the bigger bike then it will not be a problem. Rode in a group one year with a guy on a GS1200 . Had to help him up a couple hills but he was running 90%street 10% dirt Dual Sport tires. Not a wise choice.

Have fun.

You should not have any problem on the Tiger, especially with some off road experience. We have seen many a big GS go through, so your tigger should be a good time.

I'm in!
I have ridden this many times, but this will be a first on a bigger ADV bike.
I have a campsite and can share it with someone if you need a site.
It has power and water.

Noob checklist?

Hello,

Any advise for a noob? I'm on a DRZ 400 with stock tank and 606's. First time doing this type of ride, and I'm going solo.

You have a good bike and tires for it, just fall in behind someone about the same speed/skill and have fun!

There were atleast 15-20 or so bigger adventure bikes there last year. Including 4 or 5 1200GS. I am riding my F800 again and will be in the slower to moderate pack. My nav skills still suck.
