Just walked into the local NLR Honda dealer to inquire after the 1100, spoke with quite possibly the stupidest salesperson ever, who told me "nice bike, but it's over priced", then told me the price was going to be 10k... I told him he could always lower the price for me if it would help ease his conscience.

Would it really be that bad?

Work with me here, I'm trying to convince myself. I've had a taste of riding with waterproof, lockable luggage and I'm not going back.

He could give us both good deals to really feel good about himself!

C'mon guys, at this stage of a product's introduction have you ever seen a "online moto site" have any significant criticism of any new motorcycle whatsoever? These publications are the same ones who have been clamoring right/left for years to have Honda ship this bike; they're not going to have ANYTHING negative to say for quite some time.

I do agree that as long as the CB1000 is shipping, the need for the CB1100 to be higher-spec is lessened.

Your bike, your ride. I wouldn't give a rip what other's think. I can see one on mine for when the wife rides with me. She like's the backrest affect of a topcase. ymmv

I can't get over how good looking this bike is....it's just a gorgeous, gorgeous bike. I can't wait to ride one and see how it feels.

Wish it was a little cheaper. (secretly hoping it doesn't sell so I can get a kick ass deal on one.)

I had the same luggage rack/windscreen problem with my old CB900f back in the 80's. I was always tormented by ruining the lines of such a beautiful bike but loved the convenience of a JC Whitney rack and aftermarket windscreen. Looking at this bike I'm sure I'd have the same dilemma. How do you make it functional without ruining it's looks.

Not to nitpick a really special bike, but I wish it didn't have the blacked out engine, the bottom seam on the tank, and more of a CB400F-style pipe on it. ,BK

I am so glad this bike is coming. I hope they sell out within a month.

I absolutely live the looks of this bike, and it is available without ABS. Yes, there's that nasty fuel injection, but I suppose I could live with it. But apparently Honda made the same mistake they keep making over and over again. They introduce an existing model into the U.S. market, one where the R&D and tooling are already mostly paid for, and then they overprice it to the point where it doesn't have a chance, no matter how desirable it might be. If I don't buy one, it WILL be because of the price. I was really hoping they would bring that bike here, then I find out they are, my palms get all sweaty, and then I hear the price. What a downer.

The ZRX did not look bad, most of what was wrong with it was because it was a late model. It was basically a copy of the 1983 KZ1000 Eddie Lawson Replica (which I consider a BEAUTIFUL bike) but it lacked that bikes character and vintage look. The liquid cooled engine just didn't cut it. I still wouldn't mind having one. As someone said, the prices are reasonable.
