Boulder is a very pretty lake, looks like something out of Canada with the pines.

Do you have any tracks or maps of the gravel roads around Pinckneyville?

I have fished a lot of the pyramid lakes over the years. The good fishing now is in the new part of the park. Arch minerals donated 30,000 acres to the park several years ago, and its fully developed now with boat ramps and rest rooms.
I don't have tracks or maps of the area, but I know every backroad within 30 miles.

OK. Linda and I are taking the two fidty's to Ferne Clyffe the gravel way, and camp the end of May.
BTW by then I will be unemployed, my only job will be wearing out m/c tires.

I was in your neighborhood Sunday, had to detour RT 3 to get to Giant City for chicken.

Wine Hill Rd.

Brad, You are in a cool area. I've been riding Wine Hill Rd. for 25-30 years, either on motorcycle or on bicycle tours in my youth. It's a good back route into the Murphysboro and Shawnee areas from Chester. Lots of good camping around also.

If you want to tag along, a couple of us from Belleville are going. Nothing really planned but a good time.

Anyone heading over on the 16th is welcome to ride along. I'll be stopping briefly in St. Louis mid morning to meet up with my banjo pickin' Caponard flogging buddy. Let the good times roll!
