Check out the 'shiny things' thread down in "fluff" the basement. Theres a gun thread, knife thread, Just about anything else thread there. I'm not a mod, so I dont care what you post or where. So don't read the thread then.

It exists because people yammer and bullshit. Without that, it would sink to the recesses of ADV and we as a community would be worse off for that happening.

I personally know probably 25 guys on that thread, am friends with an easy dozen, ride with the same number regularly... we bullshit on the thread as a continuation of the way we bullshit in person.

I've also met a shit ton of lurkers on that thread who have made comments - in person - about stuff they read on the thread but never comment on online because that's their personality.

Hell, I got a goddamn job thanks to that thread - Muskingum University hired me because one of the guys they trust with decisions and I became good buddies through ADV in Ohio. And - Meredith got her dream job at a big city ER because of a friendship forged by bullshitting on that thread and her showing up to an organized ride and meeting the right people.

Become more sociable, join in, or don't; but you don't have to be here if it bothers you.
