Spud

Looks good, if anyone knows how well something lasts it's you.

Follow up on handgrips

Yes, you are correct. The bar center measurement is 35 mm = 1 3/8". My error.

Put the bars on and check it out I would probably buy HWY DB guards if they will sell them without the mounts(not sure about fitment). If not use some Cryca handguard and front mounts.

I'll contact Highway Dirtbikes and ask them about their hand guards for the Easton Bar. Thanks for the advice on the grips too.

Gold wheels and large front brake. Wouldn't you know it after only owning my new white CRF250l for two weeks as my Thai vacation bike. Ahh well I like the white better then all black anyways, maybe this will just give me a cheap source of wheels and front brake for next years trip.
Here in Thailand I bought mine otd with regi and 2 years full insurance for about $4500. Did a couple weeks hard riding and just did the first service and also asked them to adjust my rear spring, total cost $4 cdn. At the same time they offered to store the bike for the next year for free I just need to pay for full service when I pick it back up for next years trip.
"M" as in Motard? Sadly, it'll probably flop like the WR250X Motard version of the reasonably popular WR250R Yamaha...or not even come to the USA....

Possible, but that would make an awesome commuter bike for our pot-holed North American roads.

If it had an 18/17 tire combo it could be interesting, but for sure it'd be 17/17 with an 18 front you could get a decent tire that would do OK offroad

Pirelli MT 60 RS Corsa are available in 17, but I get your point.

Gold forks on the black one and gold rims on the red one would look awesome.

Here is a picture of all three Easton EXP 1 3/8" bends I bought to try.

Top to bottom: Woods Hi/Freestyle, KTM/Suzuki, CR Hi

Too to bottom: Woods Hi/Freestyle, CR Hi, KTM/Suzuki

Front to back: Woods Hi/Freestyle, CR Hi, KTM/Suzuki

I liked the Woods HI/Freestyle bend the best. The KTM/Suzuki is a close second. Here is a picture of the Woods Hi/Freestyle bend with one hand guard personalized for proper fit.

Here is a picture of the 7/8" to 1 3/8" handle bar adapters for the CRF250L. I was surpised to see all the hardware and 2 sockets.

Ok, I'm done with handlebars.... What next????

Another noob

Hi all, I've been reading this thread for months, and bought a Lil Red to replace the KLR in October. Of course the weather turned bad the day after , but have put on about 400 miles so far. Skid plate, 13T CS sprocket, Rear rack, mirrors so far. Have bars and handguards on order, will need luggage of some sort for a planned OBDR this summer. Really enjoy the bike, and the info and stories here. Thanks to all!
