I installed the FI controller as well, have not made any changes to the setttings - it is well worth the money - that in conjuction with 13/42 gearing has really made a difference. My other half rode it and he couldn't believe the change from stock, and i quote him "I want one"

Not an owner - yet, but have any of you tried the all important mod of the Stearns ATV seat pad and how it fits the bike? Its definately an eyesore on a bike but made a huge improvement on my DR650 and of course the KLR cheap bastids consider it a must have!

Heated Grips
Anyone know what are good heated grips to get for winter commuting? I don't think they need to be real powerful, just enough to keep that edge off. I have never installed any on a motorcycle and have only used them on snow machines at for work but they made all the difference.

I think I'm gonna start saving for the power kit 1 with the Q4 and the foam filter. By that time I should have my bars and hand guards figured out and installed.
Suggestions on bars and hand guards from anyone that has done changes?

After that flap about the questionable dyno curve on that first set of numbers from BDSB, it looks like they are the real deal here for pumping up the 250L. I'm maybe more impressed at how quickly they got someone like Race Tech to jump in and address what I think was the biggest hurdle for the stock bike, the suspension. It's neat to see the bike progress, just like the WRR and KLX have morphed into much better off road bikes. All of these DS 250 bikes are probably just fine as delivered for many/most riders, but I love that we now have 3 really strong options from the big 4 Asian manufacturers.

AXP skid plate
I sure hope those silly stickers come off. Otherwise, excellent piece! Did someone say Moose sells it in the USA?

Sent an email to Flatland Racing about skidplates and rad guards. Got the following response:
"We sure hope so, we just need to get our hands on one close enough by, and long enough to develop the products. If you know anyone close to Kansas that could help, we would give them a nice deal on some parts! Thanks for asking!" Any volunteers?
