As of Sunday, there were maybe 30% of the leaves left on the trees in Michaux... but it was still scenic and I had a great time, as always.

Deer ran out in front of us TWICE. This is definitely the season to keep an extra good look out for them.

I cant recommend Michaux enough. Its the closest place to Bmore with miles and miles of gravel and dirt.

If you don't mind something smaller, check out PA near the Susquehanna river. Specifically this area:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=39.80...num=1&t=h&z=14

There is a good bit of gravel in this area, and the road I marked has 3 open water creek crossings!

I got most of this from another Inmate, so I hope he doesn't mind me sharing. Here is a map of a lot of gravel or dirt roads in the area (note, this is a few years old, so some of the roads have been recently paved. You can check on some of them using street view in google maps)

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=http:...04498&t=h&z=11

I have spent several day long rides just linking up the gravel roads in south eastern PA around the Susquehanna River. They are all big bike friendly, I mostly ride them on my xs650.

Checking ADV on a borrowed iPad. Last night in Munich, heading back tomorrow in the am. Looks like a ride to Deep Creek might be in order

tedesco886, any chance that you are the Tiger I've been seeing on Bolton St near "B"?

Does anything beat a mid week, mid day ride up Falls Rd and lunch at Browns Store? I can't think of anything at the moment!

I suck!!

Yes, Chisenhallw, I suck, and can ride several bikes at the same time. Very talented. That way if I crash one, I still have a ride home!!
I have a buddy in town that had to trade in his bike for a family, so I let him ride one of my noble steads.

Jax, its the country store/wine & beer shop /deli / Indian restaurant/ run by a nice Asian family that has a little, what used to be "Finish Line Coffee Shop" in the parking lot.

Great Indian food, cold drinks, and can sit at the picnic tables outside and stare at your bike and the bikes and vintage cars traveling by enjoying the same road.

Good Stuff!!

Swells

Thanks Swells. Just to be clear... sorry ... the place with the little coffee shop in the NE corner of an intersection showan/tufton with a traffic light?
I have always been intrigued but never stopped. I'll have to remedy that.

I'm in Mt Vernon and I go to Druid park for disc golf every now and then, thats the only time I'm out that way. Or if I get lost, haha

And thanks Jax and Sidecar, I'll head out to one of those this Friday!

Hey Guten Morgen! I'm back, got in last night around 9ish, 3am Munich. Nearly 12 hours on planes, not flying but on planes. If anyone wants to here the story I will only tell it in real time...

Chisenhall, sorry no wiener schnitzel brought back. We can make this a RTE destination: http://www.blobspark.net/
