Hey Mick- Is inside the B. Beltway a bit of a "keep an eye out" area or is it a bit more random?

i'm not Dynamick, but i did stay at a Holiday Inn last night....

There's a cultural movement among disadvantaged Baltimore youth to steal & ride dirtbikes on the street in the city. I'm not saying (nor do I want to get into a discussion of) whether that's right thing or not, but the reality-on-the-ground is that if you own a dirtbike of any sort in the city, and it is not locked securely indoors, it will probably get stolen.

What he said...
My posts are more of a heads up for folks to secure their own stuff 'cause crime doesn't take a holiday. My friends bike is most likely being abused or has already been parted out, unfortunately.

Same in any bigger city these days. Some of you may remember the 1990 KLR that I had blacked out. When I rode thru NW DC to visit Tim at U of MD, occasionally I'd stop for cheap gas on the MD border and the locals would come over to talk and drool over the 20 year old thing. What I heard was that they'd ride stolen dirt bikes till they ran out of gas & then just ditch them.

The Siberian Express Rolls Into Baltimore tonight.

11pm, 4 degrees and 30-40 mph winds outside now.
I don't think the electric gear will help at all.

This is not a whine just an observation, as I have been in much colder weather. Anyway why is Anotherguy always wandering into the ladies room?

This is where the real men are.
