Nabbed this quote from the RTE thread but Beezer, what do you think of the Gerbings Hybrid stuff? While I really liked the Powerlet stuff a lo,t I pulled the trigger on new Gerbings. It is warm and frankly I've been using it in this < freezing weather as a coat. There are some nits to pick. Gonna put my older (non-microwire) stuff in the flea market this week.

Welllllll, here's the deal. I don't own a bike that is modern enough and has enough charging capacity to run heated gear, so can't help you there. Disc brakes are also out, as well as electric starters, turn signals, mirrors, front brake switches, fuel injection, ABS, and electronic ignition. Unfortunately, my Explorer is also old, and when I don't have time to work on it, one of the bikes becomes my means of transportation. Lately the fuel pump took a dump (repaired as of 2 or so weeks ago, just in time for the snow and ice!). There were some cold rides to work! When the temps are 20* and I'm riding at 70, wind chill is -6, or -21 by the old index. I guess there's a point when it all feels the same. Woohoo!

First World Problems

Well I was gonna bitch about not being able to find a right angled coax adapter so I don't have wires poking down out of the jacket. Mostly worried about snapping/bending the battery connector.

You feel like 500 pounds of beef testicles per month?

Honestly, I hope it's not true.
