I'd love to watch some flat track racing but I've got tickets to Center Stage that night.

What I really meant to ask Beezer... Have you ever thought of helping do a restoration on a 1967 VW ?

Any chance I can come by and take a tour of your museum?

Mickey-it depends, am I going to be suckered in to doing the work?

y-not a museum, just a few old bikes in various stages of disarray in a drafty turn of the century tobacco barn.

Sorry fellers, but I won't be going to the pete's thing on Saturday (they suck anyway). I found out about a fencing tournament down near Annapolis, and i have a deep need to work off some winter aggression. Gonna spend Saturday stabbing people in the face and not getting arrested for it. So cathartic.

Can you just make up a review then? I've been looking forward to this for weeks, and now I feel crushed.

Didn't you make a geriatric psychotherapy joke earlier? Lemme borrow your bike.

I don't think you understand. I wanted to hear your opinions of the Bolt.

Are you seriously thinking about getting a modern moto?

I'm ALWAYS thinking of getting another bike. The problem is that my license is still in North Cackilacky, so if I get something newer, I still have to go down there every year to get it inspected. And I don't want to deal with Maryland's asinine inspection system. I haven't heard one good story about transferring vehicles into this state, so the longer I put it off, the better.

I brought a bike in from PA and another from VA, as well as a few cars in PA and then titled them in Maryland, no problem.

One time inspection as opposed to yearly, so that's a plus. Just get the inspection done somewhere you trust, make sure you have a clear title (bill of sale can be helpful, but not required), and take it all to MVA. If you want to skip the last part, find a Tag and Title service and take all your paperwork there one night, and you should have title, registration, tags and stickers the next night. They will also tell you if you do need more documentation.

Thanks Glenn. I've spoken to numerous coworkers about it...all of them have had problems. One guy got so fed up he transferred his license back to New Hampshire to his parents' place just so he wouldn't have to continue the process of inspecting and registering his car in Maryland. The other guy (who moved here from NC a few months before me) thought everything went smoothly until he got a letter telling him he needed to come into the DMV within the week and threatening him with arrest. It took him over 6 hours to prove that both his motorcycles were insured-seemed the DMV people, 3 of whom were in the room, couldn't figure out that two motorcycles could be on one insurance policy. The only redeeming part of that story was how the guy from Progressive, who was on the phone in this conference, called the DMV people a bunch of idiots. I think he ended up having Progressive fax over two insurance cards, same policy number, but with one motorcycle on each card. After those stories, I figured as long as I own my house in NC, I'm going to avoid dealing with MD. All my motorcycles are antiques, so I don't need a yearly inspection there, just pay the registration and tax and they send me a card and a sticker.

Of course, it could very well be the shady people I hang out with...
