I don't do much dirt, but we're gonna start up doing road rides once a month again soon. Check the 'escape from baltimore' link in my sigfile. The basic idea is, we all ditch out of work early the first Monday of every month. We meet up on the north side of town at 4, ride for a couple hours, eat dinner somewhere, and then ride back. You're more than welcome to come with us. We like to go to other groups' areas to visit. Eastern PA, Delware, SoMD...all within easy reach.

If you want dirt, I think there's a group that does dirt roads & logging roads up at Michaux state forest on...thursdays? I've thought of taking my SV up there but i'm a big pussbag. There's also a couple different groups around that do dirt.

[i]edit[/] SwellsRides & Dynamick both have dirtbikes. We might have enough Baltimorons finally to get our own dirtbike group going.
Unfortunately, leaving work early is something that I can very rarely do... so the Monday rides might be out for me. I have been lurking in that thread for a while though. That also leaves out the Thursday Mixhaux group, but I do ride Michaux pretty often and would be happy to give you a tour. There aren't any challenging roads in Michaux, I have done 75% of them on my xs650 on street tires with no trouble. Stupid job, its messing up my social motorcycle riding...

All street is fine with me, I like all riding.

I have about a half dozen mixed pavement/dirt rides all planned out (each ride ~3-6 hrs starting and ending in Bmore) and would be more than happy to lead/organize a dual sport group for Bmore if there is some interest. If people are interested, I might start a new thread for planning rides and posting routes.

We could call in for you. "Hey, Sidecar Jockey's Boss? His little sister is in jail and needs him right now." I'm kidding - we like to give each other a lot of grief around here but don't mean anything by it.

If you've lurked the RTE thread, you've seen the destination posted up - you're more than welcome to just meet us there. The more the merrier.

Man, if you've got some routes & wanna organize some rides, you should go for it. Your group might be pretty small (I've set up rides before where it was me & poor Beezer Josh ) but don't let that stop you.

I take this thread very seriously. Sometimes your comments hurt. My shrink said I need to stay away from you, but I can't figure out why I keep being drawn back. Must be the charming good looks.

SidecarJ, I too have a job that keeps kneecapping my social riding. The Escape RTE's might have it's format changed, it was a discussion. A change of day or leave time. With a longer day a later return ride wouldn't be unpleasant. Please add your input.
