Put this in the garage. It does work, not instantly but it does. Them rats will chew wires and nest in airboxes.

Mice & Motorcycles Don't Mix!

Two years ago I sold my ST1300 to a guy in DC. The bike was stored in a neighbor’s garage and since it was not getting much use I sold it. After he bought it I agreed to ride it down to DC and drop it off, which I did. The next day he emailed me and was rather upset (rightly so) because he went out riding with his girlfriend and broke down on Connecticut Ave. and had to have the bike transported back to his place. He took off the gas tank and this is what he saw.

After he removed the nest this was the damage.

Very nice guy who repaired the damage himself, with no hard feelings. I'm surprised though that the bike didn't burst into a fireball on 95 when I rode it down there.
Moral of the story- Go to Belle Hardware and buy mouse poison now!

Does that stuff repel... or kill?

I need to fix the door...... the gigantic hole in it may be where the buggers are getting in....

Hey hardware guy. I need a metal 4' wide (man) door... I'm doing away with the 2 part swinging wooden doors, oem... 1943 doors. blocking half the entrance shut and installling a nice big (woman) door. As a garage, it is useless anyway,(might get aSmart in there... but you wouldn't be able to open the doors.) so I'm doing away with the pretense that it is anything but a shed.

Mices made me a $110 yesterday.

The chewing is pretty bad, they chewed up the air filter element and the insulation off one wire, but the piss screws stuff up too.

The commutator on the starter was as green as those brushes.

Jax, it's a repellent.http://www.earth-kind.com/howto/ Repellents inside, poisons outside. I don't like poisons in the house (dogs) since I don't leave the dogs unattended outside, I'm not as worried. Can help with door

Wayne, The Pest Control section in my shop gets LOTS of traffic
But I still hate the little buggers

What to do...
When I've found droppings in the house.
1) The place gets torn apart and cleaned.
2) Traps set. Kill traps. IMO, Karma gives you a pass when it's done without cruelness in your home. Rat fishing: You're on the hook. http://articles.baltimoresun.com/199...ing-tournament
3) Poison bait, outside so if anything new comes sniffing around for a bite, they won't stay long.
4) Repellent, Natural or/and electronic. A couple of weeks after you have take care of the current squatters, so new ones don't get the idea "this is our new home".

A couple hours of scraping pegs up around Ruxton & Bellona can be awful fun if you haven't ridden in a while.

I enjoy that as well but taking Black Rock Rd is a good go-get-lost road too. Before winter I was having fun poking around riding up Harford (147) Rd.

I keep meaning to do that but somehow I always end up cutting through Prettyboy. There are some fun long straightaways there.

I generally get about that far as well... Gunpowder and Becklysville are superior roads imo.
Besides ... Prettyboy is well... Pretty
