It only counts if you ACTUALLY sing it to him. You should do it now while he's sad and broken.

Hey Mickey, heard about your foot; hope you heal up fast!

With all these people injuring their foot/ankle WHILE WEARING motorcycle boots!!! has really got me thinking about upgrading my own motorcycle boots.

Blaster11, Thank you for the info (shortened for the quote) and thank you everyone for the well wishes. Not feeling like a Bad-Ass, was told I'm a Dumb-Ass. I really didn't think it hurt that bad, really thought it was just bruised. Hurts more since the ER folks splinted it. That puts me somewhere between Bad and Dumb

I got my call back and more importantly an appointment, this afternoon. Jodi is going to try to weasel out from work to take me.

Pivot Pegs, totally unscathed during crash. No braking or bending, still pivoted just fine. They may be the reason I was able to shift. I told Jack and Eddie, I stopped shifting for some of the smaller switchback turns and just lugged the engine through after slowing before the turn.

Motorcycle boots, I have no doubt they spread the energy of the impact causing the giant bruise but keeping the fracture from being much worse. They did their job well. I'm still going to look into a more armored boot for the next time.

Good: A nearly full recovery is in my future

Bad: After surgery, tomorrow. Pretty sure I'm out for the rest of this riding season and not going to be doing any more 5K's soon.
