I got an update from Mickey yesterday.
He is in a positive space and taking care of himself.

Healing from this kind of injury is a bitch, but there is an excellent potential of 100% recovery.

Go man GGOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Bill, the BBQ was excellent, was sorry to miss it at the Windup.
Jack, use of the knee scooter is really going to help me transition back to work. Still may be a week away.
Jodi, thank you for letting residents of and visitors to the Land of Pleasant Living know where I was...

Thank you all for your kind words and kickings, just hard enough, while I was down .
So you can see I've been well cared for.

Except when he was asleep on the job

Damn that is a long way for me to ride just to get the bike clean. Do you think the wife will buy it when I tell her the water is softer there.

It is worth a try... They are a KTM Dealer, you could claim they have some elusive and rare part you'd normally have to wait months for . Just remember to forget your camera .

Oh man. I'm going to the beach this weekend, otherwise I would totally be up there. It's probably the only way I will ever get a bikini chick to slather over an old connie I should buy something sexier

I'm sure a lot of the local Baltimorons have already ridden most of these roads... but here is a route that my buddy and I rode on Saturday. We usually meet at Falls and Schawan, hence thats where the route on the map starts, but you would not need to start there.

https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid...237893,0.33886

Our goal was to stay on twisty roads along the Gunpowder Falls River and Loch Raven Reservoir as much as possible (I lost count of how many old little bridges we crossed, but it was between 8 and 10).

Aside from being a scenic route, being by the river made the air temps noticeably cooler... which is nice when its 90 degrees outside. This was by far my favorite 'local' Baltimore ride that I hav ever done.

I jsut though some you you might want to check it out.
