You don’t stop riding because you’re getting old, but you get old when you stop riding.

Just had Tina tell me on the phone. I am at a loss for words, as is she. We have never met Bill but have heard plenty of him and watched all the dvds. Phil and Netty, his family too, our thoughts are with you all.

I went on a ride three weeks ago with two good mates.
Planning another one in a month.

Ridden with them a lot. Camped and bullshitted around the fire too many times to recall them all.

I'd hate to lose either one. We've been through a lot together over 35 + years.

Never met Bill or Phil but have seen the vids and can see the same camaraderie between them as I share with my mates.

Phil, truly sorry for your loss.

Remember the good times, live and ride wholeheartedly, Bill will be watching.

RIP from a fellow tugboat driver and rider. I never met you but feel your mate's and family's loss all the same.
What's that you have in your eye?

Gee sad news. Was just thinking about a good mate today who went in 2003 the same way - we all were shocked, still are, can't follow it. Beware lads. R.I.P. Tugboat Bill.

Never met him, only admired what he did and how he did it. Always thought shit he can ride, the obvious friendship between him and Phil was something that always shone for me. Watched him with the bike builds a true professional, a thinking mans rider it seemed. I keep thinking there are no words but the above and below seem to type themselves

Condolences to his family, Phil, Netty, friends and everyone close

RIP Bill

He was a lovable bloke and it is easy how people could feel like they knew him from the videos he did with Philth. It is going to be a tough time for all of us to know he's gone. Yes Cougar he will be up there laughing at my stories and the silly stuff I did. I now know now that it is probably one of the things that keep him here a bit longer as is the other mates he had. A big thanks to Philth and the boys for the last two days. Netty we are here for you xxx

RIP Tugboat Bill

Like many others I have never met Bill but still feel I know him from following his adventures with Phil.

My heart goes out to his family.

Can only hope that he has achieved the peace that he was seeking.

RIP Bill

Terrible news! Speaking from personal experience Depression is a very difficult thing to deal with and those that don't have it can't understand or relate to, but it's very real! I only knew him through Motorbikin dvd's. What a bloody Legend! You will be sorely missed!
