Wow, that's sad news.
Only knew him from the videos but wanted to meet him. Always a "larger than life" character on the screen.
Sad news indeed.
Condolences to all those affected.

Very, very sad news...
Never met Bill, but immensely enjoyed the videos and articles that he and Philth were main players in; and had seen Tugboat, Philth, Hartley and co blast past my place on the return from southern journeys a couple of times.
Deepest condolences to all that knew and loved Bill. There will definitely be a hole in a few rides amongst his mates.
... just took the valve cover off the KLE500 to check the valves @ 76,000km - exhaust 0.001" tighter than spec; inlets just fine.... now that'd be a bee's dick???
... was expecting 100K from this bike; now aiming for 150K ...

The fight is over Bill is at rest, the world is a poorer place for his loss, but richer for his having lived.
I am honoured to have known him and called him friend. My tears are for his pain and for all who mourn him
Rest In Peace

Floored doesn't begin to describe it. Phil n Bill was motorbikin, won't be the same without the goose.
Sincere condolences and thoughts go out to Bill's family and close friends.

You and Bill and the Motorbikin crew have inspired many including me
I never had the privilege of meeting Bill but he will ride on with us all.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger , and then it hit me.

Well said Dusty - couldn`t have said it better. Deeply saddened

Never met the man but always chuckled when mentioned by Philth in prose or DVD.
Another older Ozzie taken by this insidious disease.

The stinking insidious black dog claims another one.
My thoughts to his family and close friends, never met you Bill ,but your larrikin smile and humorous quips in the videos stay in my mind.
I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on his tombstone
From the beginning..to the end.
He noted that first came his date of birth
And spoke the following date with tears, 1964-1994
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time
That he spent alive on earth..
And now only those who loved him
Know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own;
The cars..the house..the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard.
Are there things you”d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
That can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
To consider what”s true and real,
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger,
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we”ve never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect,
And more often wear a smile..
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while
So, when your eulogy”s being read
With your life”s actions to rehash..
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?
