F650GS Center Stand - Crazy High!

SUCH a pain to get on stand. Rear wheel sits 4 3/4" off ground. Why????

My 2012 tire is an an inch at most off of the ground with the factory stand. Is yours aftermarket or OEM? Do you have a lowered bike? I doubt that even a standard length stand on a lowered bike would be 4 3/4". GH

if your bike is not lowered, you might have the center stand from the 800GS on it.. it definitely shouldn't lift the rear wheel 4" off the ground.

Thanks to all! Didn't realize the 800 had a longer stand. Makes perfect sense. Next stop, dealer.

If it was dealer installed, they installed the wrong stand.

Back in 09 my dealer ordered the f800 centerstand for my f650. They swore it was the right stand. it was only after I walked in with the part # for the F650 centerstand that they would finally admit they ordered the wrong centerstand.
