Kinda have mixed feelings about the deal. We all know that TWO was what it was because of who started it, and who ran it over all those years. It was the relaxed, laid back atmosphere that made it so much fun to stay at. I always felt like I was coming home when I finally pulled down that gravel drive. Might be hard to replicate that feeling under new ownership. I don't know the fellow who bought the land, but I hope he has the good sense to involve GT in the new project somehow. Anyway, here's hoping that whatever form the new lodge/campground/whatever takes, that it will be successful!

I'll never forget my frist visit there, just following roads in the area. Came upon this place with bikes all over the place and saw the TWO Sign so pulled in. Not a lot of R11GS roaming about at that time so many took notice. This one guy asked me where I was from. South Louisiana I told him. He turns around and yells, :" Honey, there's a Coonass out here" Never forgot that or the map he drew me of the area.

Count me in

I had just moved to Atlanta and was going through a bad divorce when I found this place. Solo, on a borrowed GS with all borrowed gear i rolled in at to TWO at dark. I had no plan and was going to just sleep in the grass when one of the employees (Mimi) said hang on a sec...I think there's a tent back here somewhere...

She pulled out a tent and sleeping bag then went back to her house to get me a pillow!! That trip probably saved my life. Thank you GT, Mimi, and everyone involved with that place. Hope the new place continues the tradition.

Let me know if i can help and try to give a little back....

Bill's been in my shop quite a few times getting gear. He stopped by yesterday to tell me about his purchase of the resort. Best news I've heard in a long time! Miss riding down for a steak sandwich!

I'm going to drive down in my truck & donote some banners, pictures, and tin signs to help decorate the place.

Maybe some of the other local inmates might have some bling to kick in too?

Just a thought.

When Bill's ready for a grand opening, TMO will kick in some serious door prizes to celebrate the event! This is going to be fun!

Two

I loved working at the old TWO met so many great friends. I have missed It a lot. Bill Johnston is the new owner and has been going to TWO for a long time even back in the Frank days. It will not be the same new people etc but I hope everyone supports Bill and gives him a chance. That place is special to many riders and I hope to many more in years to come.

Mike, for sure when the time comes I am sure a bunch of people will donate memorabilia. Everyone here wants this to succeed, and knowing Bill, I am sure it will.
