Once again Ed Crowell at 83 was the oldest finisher. Probably on his Matchless Twin with 4 inches of travel and 400 something pounds.

I would have but my bike wouldn't run and I thought I had a couple broken ribs and a broken collar bone. I didn't get to urgent care until 4:30 on Saturday. It was an adventure. I will be there next year I have to finish what I started.

Okay, Steve, that's a good excuse.
Hope you're feeling much better by now, although if you did break your collarbone, that will take some time to heal. See ya next year! |

Well, DirtRider, you missed out on the free goody bags we gave all the riders who attended, tons of prizes for all the riders who had their rider number called, and raffle prizes that were high-end items.
Oh well, there's always next year. Maybe you'll be in better shape and you'll last through the evening. |

Your story wasn't too shabby either, AJ. Not everyone drives out to California from NY to ride LA-B-to-V.
Thanks for doing that, and thanks for writing the great story!

Did anybody see any Husky TE650 on the route this year. If so, how did it do?

Two years ago, I was stuck behind dozens of plated dirt bikes wedged into between big rocks in the wash up to Red Rock when we were handily passed by a big guy on a 950 adventure. Weaved right through us like we were cones on tarmac. I don't say a bike is too heavy anymore.
