He's probably looking at it thinking "I know there's a way to lose 30lbs....I just know it!"

Good one.

I think it is one of two things:
1. He is practicing for his next Border Adventure Ride when he encounters a border agent who heard a rumor that the Terra stores the good stuff in its frame so will do a strip search of it despite his outlandish claim that the good stuff is engine oil.
2. He is verifying every torque number on the page he just published.

I've really been thinking about doing the same thing. I just picked up an extra set of plastics for the cause.

Did you do it yourself?

Yeah. No extra plastics necessary, I'm wrapping it with vinyl. If I don't like it, I can just peel it off.
Plus vinyl is cheaper than spray paint.

Those panels took me 3 hours, only 3 to go.

I guess my 3 year old Camo job is finally catching on around here! Just a quicky Rattle Can job ... and no ... I am NOT a painter!

Spray paint on plastic IMS tank bubbles and peels off ... I've tried a few different solutions ... none have worked, so now my tank is black (truck bed liner paint)

Wolfman/BRMoto Racks

Same as posted on CafeHusky:

Well, Berg from Back Roads Moto picked up my Terra in order to fabricate side and top racks!! I cannot wait to not only get my baby back but also see what he comes up with! I knew farkles would take a while to come on line, but I really miss not having side bags on the commute! He will hopefully have them ready to ship by the end of the month!

I also found out he makes a product that turns side loading Pelicans into top loaders - not on the website, but he promised to bring a set when he returns the bike: cannot wait to see how that works!

I see you just covered the cut-out on the rear side panels...I was thinking about doing that too. I couldn't see any way to wrap into that feature and have it look good.

You sure? My guys are still patrolling Afghanistan looking for this one. They are convinced that this is the best looking camo ever, and that its still out there somewhere.

Very nice... I like that Beretta AR70...

back to the Husky:

For those of us with the Motorsportz skid plate, and want more coverage for the frame and engine cases from debris/flying rocks... I came up with a solution.

Get/borrow some aluminum:

Cut out your shape:

Form it:

Remove the paint, drill some holes and mount it:

I kind alike the brushed aluminum look via grinder w/ wire wheel. We'll see what it looks like once the bike is back together. I may paint it black too.

RE, That looks great! I'm expecting my Motosportz plate anytime this week. Is there anyway you could post up a sketch/template with some dimensions? I'd love to duplicate that.

Sure, I can measure the cut-out and post the dimensions.

It takes a fair amount of effort to shape it correctly. I used a bench vise and a mallet. And a lot of grunting.
