The original dirtbike style Tenere's were the best looking, and more like something I'd want to buy, not these insect looking things.

This thing looks like someone just threw parts at it and bolted them on. I've seen some with a high fender kit, and they look better, but barely.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder dude. It doesn't bother me that you don't like the new Tenere but, to me it looks like Mila Kunis bent over in the "submissive Kitten" position. It really doesn't matter what I think since the XT 660 isn't available here in the states.

As somebody who is looking to upgrade to a 650, I'm certainly interested in the Husky Terra for intermediate touring and fire/dirt road riding... So count me interested. (And I'd crawl over broken glass to get that Tenere...)

I was at Donnells in Independence MO today when one of these was rolled into the showroom.
I was surprised to learn of the weight and the price. I liked it, in fact if you stop by there soon enough my drool may still be on it. For the time being I am keeping a light wt. single track machine for trail riding but at first glance this thing could easily satisfy the remainder of my riding needs.

Stopped by a local dealer today - he had the Husky rep ride in on a Terra yesterday. This shop mostly sells single track bikes from Gas Gas/Husa etc. and almost sounded (a month ago) unsure where this bike fits.

Well the owner took it out for a spin and came back surprised and very impressed with the bike. He offered heated grips (tape type) if the customer wants heated grips (???). Also said his first bike is not a demo so it will sit on showroom with no gas. Also said he was "pretty sure only 1-year warranty."

Well that 1-year warranty is surely a disappointment. But I'm still interested.....

Got to ride it today..........around the parking lot...

Was a bit heavy getting it off the sidestand, but once its up it felt very balanced.Standing on the pegs and riding in circles it felt very balanced and the throttle was smooth.I have a 30 inch inseam and the rear of my heels were about a half inch off the ground.

Great looking bike,Me likey...

...and you can even get to the sparkplug

Curious, did it have heated grips standard and what was the asking price?

I'm on a family outing weekend and this was the only perk I'm getting so it was a quick look over while the family looked on.I realized after leaving that I overlooked the heated grips.sorry.

Dealer quoted me $6500.

I'm not seeing a kickstarter. What do you think of the voltage regulator/electrical stuff down on the side of the engine? Gets it out from under the seat to cool better? More space for underseat fuel?

The electrics have been down there for years and I have never experienced a problem with them, cooler out in the air instead of under a seat or next to an exhaust like my Transalp. They haven't had a kick starter since Noah saw a cloud form.

Do we know for sure if it does in fact have only 190mm(7.5 inches) of suspension travel?
