All those are bs fees and can be talked down completely. The ONLY thing you cant' talk down is the State Tax. The rest are dagger in the butt fees

rride.... just go buy one of the damn things and quit sweating the details.
It's more fun to ride than count nickels waiting for that magic deal to fall from the sky.

I'm a complete noob to adventure riding. I've ridden an old Nighthawk 750 and an even older Kawasaki 650. But I will now be riding a 2013 Strada when it gets delivered to my door tomorrow! I wanted to thank everyone here (and elsewhere) for all the very valuable information about these bikes. It should be an excellent adventure!

Welcome to the fold. As a new Terra owner myself, I signed up at http://Fuelly.com, to log mileage and such right from the start. Hope to see you over there also.

You can get the fuel consumption for about any bike or car, from real people who log in. Great site for a realistic mileage idea.

You guys crack me up...
Even at full your MSRP you can buy these things at least $2-3k less than we will ever see these things sell new down here in Oz....
Yeah we get $500- 'off'... But you still gotta shell out $9- $9.5k ride away price...

FFS just go buy one, or not, and make like the avatar....

r...r....r....r...r....ride....

I'd love to hear your ride report... But I'm sick of hearing your price bleating...

I can spend my FRN (Federal Reserve Note) about anywhere in the world. That illusion is what I traded for my Terra. It was fun counting out them illusions in return for my Terra. Who cares about the politics. When the FRN dies, I will trade with something else. But Monopoly money is a different story.

You probably would be happier discussing politics I'm sure.

But since you don't seem to grasp what money really is, I will be kind and inform you.

Each dollar represents work I did. I earned it, it is a trading tool. So no matter wether it is backed by gold any longer is immaterial to me and the used of the FRN to trade my skills converted to dollars, for somebody else's skills.

It is really hard for me to pay for that bike with 7000 chickens mate.

But in Oz they use Monopoly money.

As I said, it's a common shared delusion. What is is backed on again? Or is it just mass mind control that makes the money system work?

Without all those evil people I would not have my bike or the gas to put in it, so I'm good with the dollar. It's the funny colorful ones from down under I find interesting.

Without the slave master the slave would not have his daily cut of bread or drink of water. Or would he? And would his food choices be even better, while he has more opportunity to savour them?

There's more than one way to skin a banana, and some ways are much better than others.
