I ran across this the other day.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minnesota_nice

Of course I immediately thought of Dungey.

Not at all. Flug was flogging Dungey in one breath for not winning championships when certain people were hurt, and yet praising Reed in the other breath. I was just drawing parallels, i.e., the stats don't lie, Dungey deserves the championships and praise as much as anyone. I was negating the asterisk that Flug was putting on Dungey.

Clear now?

yes that is the man but you can't give the title of goat to someone unless they are and RC isn't a pimple on Rogers ass.

my X factor is Barcia. He could wreak major havoc if he starts fast.

Mine:

1-Villopoto
2-Dungey
3-Canard
4-Reed
5-Windham
6-Barcia
7-Tickle
8-Brayton
9-Stewart
10-Milsaps

Stewart in 9th because he will not finish enough races, I'm thinking he won't hurt himself bad enough soon enough to not finish high in several races.
Barcia in 6th, next year he will move up, not this year
RV and RD very close, could go either way. It's a long season.

Roger has the title of the man because of his class off the track he has to go along with his track record.
RC is a good guy but doesn't have that class. I can't quote race wins but I watched both of them at their prime and I don't remember Roger dominating on the track the way Ricky did.

Five more days and we get to talk current events instead of history

This! A couple years ago everyone was scared of Stewart. He was in their heads, they knew they couldn't beat him. But it's a different story these days. One particular pro's exact words were "We laugh at him, and we let him by. If he wants to come past at mach 4, let him go; he will be in the dirt in the next couple of laps or the next race.".

I'll voice my vote; villipoto, Dungey, reed, Canard, Barcia, grant/hill/Stewart/alessi/short/windham and who cares about the rest.

I'm looking forward to A1, but I'm looking forward to Dallas most because Bogle has been waxing that ass at the Honda test track and I think he's gonna get some wins.

DeCoster won multiple world championships against the best euro riders and also won multiple Trans Am titles agains both the best euro's and americans. DeCoster went fast on bikes that Ricky Charmichael couldn't even start. Charmichael went fast on bikes designed to go fast. Todays skill sets while incredible are only enabled by the advancements of 50 years to the bikes. Charmichael and all the rest of todays riders are products of the bikes. 60's and 70's riders went fast on bikes with no brakes and no suspension and ill suited power.
