Those guys remember what happened last year to Villopoto,it was basically done, see you outdoors. As for Ralphie boy,"Oh he closed up on thet lap, gained 4 tenths, its down to 1.5 seconds!"is very annoying.I've been watching races for 50 years,I know whats happening.

Exactly what happened, there was only one healthy rider left for outdoors last year.

Hmmm, Mcgrath has one outdoor title (1995), and Villopoto has.... one outdoor title (2011). How many titles did Mcgrath win in the 'boys' series?

The same number of premier class titles as Rossi.

I believe he would have had 1 more if he didn't switch to Suzuki and piss off Honda that year.

Still bullshit that these guys skip the real races, and he is the one who started that.

Very nice guy, actually his whole family is really cool, and a great representative of the sport.

Honda came out with that 2x4 aluminum frame,McGrath knew he couldnt win on it and bailed.
I think he was sick of Honda anyway. He knew just how to make that older steel frame work.

He found out pretty quick after he bailed who was in control of works suspension components at Showa.

But honestly, who does that anymore?

Carmichael rode MX, Reed does, Stewart does whne healthy, and I believe so do ALL the other top contenders. I don't think we will see ANYONE sit out MX this year except for health reasons.

It was a bitch when Mcgrath did it and it started to become a trend, but I think those days are over.

And I'm missing the Rossi reference. Valentino? He has 7. Do you mean that the 500cc GP bikes were the premier class and he only has one of those?

Also that the Suzuki had clutch problems that even the factory couldnt fix right away, then I think he had a flat at a bad time,he struggled but still nearly won it. And was happy to be done with the Suzuki.

Honda has always had the opinion it's their bikes that win championships and riders are interchangeable.
Rossi drilled it into their head pretty convincingly that the best rider could smoke any Honda on a Yamaha that needed work.

McGrath on a Yamaha also showed them their error.

McGrath has 7,Rossi has 7 in GP racing, includes all GP classes from 125 to 250 to 500 to 990

I think jobs are too hard to come by to sit out the outdoor series, people go to the trouble to come out and watch an outdoor race they wanna see the fast guys!
