I can see how it would bring a little weight forward by moving the muffler closer to the center of the bike. - Before I saw the pic, I was just thinking about a foot or so of titanium tube at the front of the motor. - They are bringing the weight of the exhaust tubing that was behind the rear shock to the front of the motor, plus moving the muffler forward. - Good thinking.

go RD!!
I picked RD for the title (he's on a KTM!), and I picked Stewart to not finish the series, but I think there is some serious truth to this.

Officially, I think Reed will not quite have the full pace of the new younger crowd (he will be very close, but not quite there) and I think Stewart will have it and on occasion a touch more pace. The question is, can he sustain it?

That electronics-tyoe piece is a big knob, like maybe an on the fly ignition map adjuster? What else would you be adjusting during a race?

Traction control. I swear, some teams are using it.

It worked for me. It has some great riding in that vid too!!

Can you believe that Stewart has full blown stadium lighting at his "backyard" track?

I'm with ya,
My thoughts are if James could be smart and follow the leader till the end, he is so explosive on short burst he can pass anyone in the field and win races

i'm looking forward to this season

Go RD

age isn't a factor yet. I would be perfectly happy to see Stewart (orReed/Dungey/Villopotto) (or anyone else) dominate the filed as long as the field wasn't all watching from a pair of crutches.

I'm of the belief that one of the deciding factors that wins these titles is that your top guys besides being blessed with the ability to ride at that level is they were blessed with superior cardio vascular plumbing. stewart obviously has the right plumbing he can probably go a few more years. he's not too small and not too big and probably looks like a miniature NFL linebacker in a pair of shorts. the guy has what it takes - it comes down to fate and maybe his fate will be to win the SX title in 2013. we'll know in a few months. I just want everyone from the title winner to the guys who never made the mains to all get through the season without getting hurt. I never thought I'd say it but this has become the ultimate sport, even better than outdoors from an "entertainment" point of view. the margin of error for these guys here indoors is nil. when you see 20 guys all going down a straight with a few doubles/triple/triples/doubles whatever and they are all doing it as one mass school of lemming it's pretty sick. you don't get that outdoors. SX is f'ing crazy. I'm still going with RV to win I think he corners better than all of them and that's probably more important than anything else. that guy is on rails even on the inside lines. I can't fucking WAIT until 9:30 pm est.
