wierd. just saw Ricky Charmichael doing commentary on AX. His name is now on the AX series but this was the first event he'd been at this year.

He was totally different, he made some good points, talked with longer sentences when answering questions and was providing relevant information. He had a team jacket and ball cap on not the sport jacket.

could it be that simple?

Just being in the presence of Ralph makes his IQ and talent plummet.

I enjoyed both races. It is a shame the T2 pile up kind of screwed up the SX race, but I really enjoyed watching Dungey rail. He is due soon. So are Stewart and Barcia.

Baggett is scheduled to race East Coast lites. He'll be there. Don't expect a lot from him though, he's more an outdoor MX racer than indoor sprints. He'll be toward the front but not at the front.

The 450 was a great race, you have to look at what's going on, don't just fixate on first place. Except I really hated to see two top riders limping off the track.

Damn, lots of guys getting hurt. Tomac down in the 250's... Barcia and Stewart hurt in the 450's. Who's next. Its madness out there.

Good ride by Dungey to get on the box. He doesn't seem to be as fast as he was last year... wonder if it has anything to do with distractions off the track..... I think his girlfriend is 2nd from the left...

Hey mdub; my oldest son was there and he said Canard and Ryan's run through the pack was the highlight of the show. It was my son's first SX, and he has raced motorcycles for a long time... 'Course he made the classic rookie fan mistake by selecting his seats low near the track.

The place was packed and they had to park a mile away in overflow lots. No wonder those kids make so much money in SX...

Honda gave Short a factory bike for years and he did nothing with it.

I saw Shorts bike last night at the race and it looked like the same bike without the Mcgrath team graphics. Not that I could really tell.

Did anyone notice in the 250 coverage that Roczen fell 4 seconds back of Seely on about lap 4 (right after the firt Tomac crash)? They didn't show it in the coverage but he had a HUGE moment on the finish line double. He gets on he gas into the double, which th guys were taking as a right hand turn, and his back wheel slides out going up the face of the jump. He goes off the jump sideways at about 90 degrees, but has slowed down alot so doesn't really catch a whole lot of air. He lands between the two jumps, still 90 degrees to the direction of travel, gets the bike back under him, and can then go over the landing ramp to start chasing Seely. He was much, much faster thn Seely and it was obvious that Roczen would catch him, it was just a matter of when. It happened on lap 12, so it took him about 8 laps to close about 4 seconds. Impressive.

And from practice on, Tomac didn't have anything for Roczen last night. Roczen was just on, and then Tomac got the bad start and things went south from there.

I was curious to see on TV who caused that turn 2 pile-up in the 450s. Didn't expect it to be Reed, but that's what it looked like to me.

Barcia gets carted off two weeks in a row and Flug is impressed and feels for him but when Stewart gets hit in a turn by an out of control rider Flug questions how he falls off the bike.

Me thinks the scales of justice are unbalanced.

Very cool. I have only been to Arenacross races. No SX for mid Atlantic and NE.
