Malheur gas towns?

Seen the info prior - anyone help with current info on where we can find gas around the Steens and Owyhee? Going this weekend for a quick tour with 4-5 riders - Thanks

Might have better luck posting this in http://advrider.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=48

I haven't been over there is many years, so couldn't tell you much about fuel availability.

Hope you have a lawnmower fuel jug to take along... it beats walking.

Have fun and enjoy the trip.

The remote south east corner of Oregon has gas in these towns: Fields, Crane, Rome, Jordan Valley. Frenchglen is kind of hit and miss from what I have heard.

Across the border in Nevada: Denio Junction, McDermitt.

I was just there. Frenchglen has gas between 9 a.m and 6 p.m. regual only. Fields has gas as does Denio Junction. Crane as well. It was beautiful on the Steens Loop. Make sure to go to the East Rim. Some great views. Also, I camped at Fish Lake, 18 miles up on the Steens Loop Rd. Great camping spots.

Fields!

Work you trip around getting fuel in Fields....because of the epic milkshakes they make! [and they are nice folks..].

If you have small fuel tanks, no bike info in your profile, and fuel becomes a critical issue in your plans, I would call ahead to confirm if they have fuel...sometimes the lonely corners have spotty fuel deliveries.

Hey, I carry a squeeze fuel pump and line to loan fuel out of my 9 gal tank...consider that.

Ps...Ditto on Steen loop road....but do the entire loop, or you will miss the best views and ride.
